On January 12, 2010, a massive 7.0 earthquake struck Haiti. Over three million people have been affected by this disaster and up to fifty thousand are estimated to be dead. The capital of Port-Au-Prince is almost completely damaged and destroyed, including facilities such as hospitals and other emergency care facilities. Food, water, medical supplies, clothing and other emergency supplies are desperately needed.
